Yrefy Review – Clara
On average, 4 million student loans enter default each year
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel — by this time next year I should be somewhat free.
He could have warned me that it was in default… So of course the collection agency was like, “Can you make $15,000 to $16,000 payment?” [I told them], “I can’t even make you $100 payment!”
The one that defaulted was the one for $14,000 to $15,000.
They didn’t warn me that it went to default… I was asking them, “What happened to my loan? I was making payments — it was on pause with Covid. Why has it defaulted?”
They couldn’t tell me, they just told me that they have a loan.
At one point, I kind of vaguely remember the commercial that Dave Ramsey did with you guys, and it didn’t click right away. I’m like, “Wait a second, where is it? What was that company called?”
Yrefy talks to hundred of borrowers in similar situations, every single day
You guys were communicative. You guys were following up. Of course, Jake was like, “Hey, you’ve been approved”.
And then I got transitioned to Danielle and she’s like, “It may take a little bit of time for us to get everything finalized”. She gave me all the information that I needed so that I’m not wondering or thinking I’m in limbo or anything.
We take pride in creating a true partnership with our borrowers!
[The process was] very simple. Jake was great with that. He was like, “Can you send me this? Hey, did you send it?” I’m like, “Sorry! Here you go!” I was able to email it, and if he couldn’t read it, I don’t think he had any trouble, but he was able to communicate with me. He would be calling or emailing me.
I feel amazing because, to be honest, when I found out that my loan was in default [I was] trying to figure out what to do. This was during the time I’m trying to figure out like how to do the debt snowball, trying to get my finances in order… also berating myself for putting myself in this situation.
Yrefy offers low fixed interest rates between 1.0% and 6.0%
As soon as I got ahold of you guys, it just started going up. At the time, he gave me like a 4% interest rate, but I think it’s lower now and I am truly grateful for that.
Advice for others struggling with their private student loan:
